Our Wagon had a king bed, bunk beds, coffee machine, mini fridge, and a table with two chairs. Entry is keyless, with a code that also opens your assigned bathroom, which was tidy and very clean. There’s plenty to do here, including an indoor pool, sauna, and play area for kids, plus a shuttle to the steakhouse where you can try the 72oz steak challenge. The Wagon floor was a bit dirty, so sandals or slippers are a good idea. We had a great time and enjoyed every minute.

We stayed in our RV, not a cabin, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The RV Ranch is easy to reach from I-20, with both gravel and concrete pads. It’s handy for shopping and meals, and there’s a free shuttle to The BigTexan Steak Ranch. Staff were friendly and attentive, guided us to our spot, and gave us the extra information we needed. Highly recommend.

With wildfires closing Palo Duro State park, we changed plans and booked by phone; the reservation was easy, and the veteran discount was a nice bonus. Check-in went smoothly, and they escorted us to our basic full-hookup gravel site. It was a little uneven but easy to level, and although our spot had no trees, everything worked as it should. We enjoyed the indoor pool and steam room on a hot day, then took the free shuttle to the Big Texan steak house. It made a good one-night stop, though the campground is basically a parking lot for campers, with sites close together and no barriers. We didn’t use the other facilities, though other reviewers speak well of them. There seemed to be quite a few long-term campers. Edit: Road noise from I-40 can get loud at night. It’s not the resort’s fault, but it may bother light sleepers like us.

A winter storm turned what we expected to be a one-night visit into four nights while we waited for it to pass. We’d stayed here once before and had a good experience, but this time the staff’s kindness made a big difference with our young kids. Andy even drove us to Walmart for a heated blanket, and Natalia at the front desk helped us move into a cabin for the last night when it was -15. After being cooped up for three nights, that extra space was a relief. Everything was clean and well cared for, and there were bagels and coffee each morning. The shuttle to the Big Texan steakhouse wasn’t running because of the storm, so Andy came from home to take us there for lunch. The service is top notch, and I’d highly recommend this RV park to people traveling through Amarillo.

I stayed in a Wagon and enjoyed it enough that I’d do it again. They’re climate controlled, but there’s no TV, so that may not suit you if you need one. The private bathhouse is close by and very clean. 100% would return.
