Hoyt House Bed & Breakfast Inn

When our flight back to NY was cancelled, we stayed at the Hoyt House and had such a great experience. Katie was helpful and accommodating, letting us keep our room a little longer since our flight wasn’t until late afternoon. Breakfast was delicious, with potatoes, eggs, and a blueberry scone. The property is downtown and within walking distance of everything Amelia has to offer. We could move around freely, and enjoyed reading on picnic blankets on the front porch. It was hard to leave. We really appreciated Katie's hospitality and how she went above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks so much for everything!

This was our first Bed and Breakfast stay, and the Hoyt House set a very high bar. The house was beautiful, and Lindy was a wonderful host. She let us tour the home, where each room is uniquely stunning, and made us special breakfasts to fit our diet. From 4-5 pm, they offered a free glass of wine or beer in the quaint bar. We enjoyed some light conversation with other guests, then went off to our separate dinner plans. Lindy also shared a list of local restaurants and live music, and offered music entertainment in the expansive backyard. It was too cold for the pool or hot tub, so now we have a reason to come back in a warmer month. Thank you, Lindy. We had a wonderful time!

The location is hard to beat. Hoyt House sits near Fernandina Beach’s historic district, so my wife and I could walk to shops, restaurants, and everything downtown has to offer. We were there for our anniversary while visiting family in Jacksonville, and it was exactly the sort of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. The hosts were warm, friendly, and easy to talk to, and clearly care about giving guests a great stay. The home is beautiful and thoughtfully kept, and our room was unique, making us feel special as soon as we walked in. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, gourmet and delicious, with obvious care put into it. We also loved the porch swings and rocking chairs, plus the cozy sitting room for reading and relaxing. For a romantic getaway or just a peaceful, memorable stay, Hoyt House is a gem. We’ll absolutely be back.

The room was fabulous, and breakfast was amazing. Bananas foster pancakes, can it get any better? My husband and I loved the wonderful hosts and the great location, with so many restaurants and shops within walking distance. We’ll definitely be back for another weekend getaway soon!
