Scott was helpful with all my questions during my three nights at the Anchorage Walkabout Town Bed and Breakfast. I booked it for the nights on either side of a Nols backpacking trip. The room was very nice, and the location made getting around easy: downtown Anchorage was a 20-minute walk, and coffee and breakfast were about 10 minutes away.

We didn’t use the available bicycles, though it was nice to know we could. The owners were friendly and communicative by email, even though we never ran into them in person. The B&B was clean, reasonably priced, and just what we needed. Having a kitchen and sitting area meant we could make several meals at the inn instead of eating out the whole trip. Its convenient location near downtown Anchorage also let us walk everywhere for our first few days in Alaska without a car.

Scott was around to show us the place, and we found the kitchen handy. We spent two nights here and walked to downtown and the parks. It was convenient, nice, and clean, so staying here was the right choice for us.

In 2022, I had a really enjoyable stay. The place was very, very clean, and both the accommodations and price were excellent. I took the bikes out one day, which was great. Breakfast is now served in a brown bag, but it was substantial and healthy, and gave me a perfect start to the day.
