Tru by Hilton Auburn

The room felt fresh and well kept, with a comfortable bed, good lighting, plenty of outlets, and a roomy shower. I also liked the bright, modern lobby, which seemed comfortable for sitting down, working, or having coffee. Breakfast was complimentary, with lots of variety and fresh choices, and a relaxed feel. The staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help. We had a great stay at the Tru by Hilton in Auburn, Indiana, and would gladly come back. It seems like a good fit whether you’re in town for work, nearby attractions, or just passing through.

There were plenty of newly opened food spots nearby, and the hotel sits right off the interstate on a quiet side street. We didn’t hear road noise, and the parking lot felt safe for leaving the car overnight. The room was clean and modern, the bathroom practical and clean, and the air conditioner worked very well. We slept comfortably too. The towels had an unpleasant chemical smell and felt almost sticky once wet. Still, the good points outweighed that issue. A great addition to the Tru portfolio.

A clean, decent place to sleep if you’re visiting or in town for work. The surroundings aren’t attractive, so I wouldn’t choose it for a destination vacation. There was a good amount of hot water before 9 a.m. I missed having a microwave; there was a small fridge, but I don’t want to eat cold takeout.

The beds are soft, and the showers are nice. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner were provided, along with an iron, ironing board, and mini-fridge. It’s a clean, minimalist hotel with good places to charge devices. The small gym was clean. Downstairs there’s plenty of lobby seating for groups, plus board games and a pool table. You can also buy snacks, beer, and canned alcoholic seltzer there.
