La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Corpus Christi Airport

The rates were just right for a family trip, and the location was great. Staff were super nice and took care of requests for items right away. The rooms were nice too, though seeing black mold in the bathtub corners was a letdown, especially since bleach could make it disappear.

The breakfast was the highlight, delicious and well stocked. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel looks beautiful outside with a nice interior. We booked for the pool and hot tub, but the pool was murky and dirty, and the hot tub had been filled in. The pool area had only two dirty tables and a few chairs. The staff at the front were cordial but not especially welcoming. Housekeeping was mediocre: corners behind doors and the windowsill were dirty, there were brown finger marks on the bathroom wall, and a little mold around the edges. Fixtures were rusty, and there was no bathroom ventilation fan.

The service at the front desk has been awful. Sara is rude and unhelpful. We’ve given them a couple of chances, but they keep overcharging the card on file and won’t explain it beyond saying, “that’s our system.”

The breakfast here is wonderful, and Ms.Becca is such a good host. She keeps the food hot, and there’s never a dull moment with her or the rest of the staff. Thank you, La Quinta, and special thanks to MS.Becca! This is one of the best motels in Corpus.
