Affordable Suites Augusta

The general manager was kind and helpful, and the location was convenient enough. Noise wasn't a problem, either. But the website photos didn't really match what we found onsite, which was disappointing. The room was somewhat clean, though the sticky floors made it uncomfortable, and the bed was just okay. It felt a bit expensive for what you get. We needed somewhere quickly because of an emergency, so it worked for that night. If I'd had other options, I wouldn't have picked it.

The room was dirty, with dust, hair, mildew, and food crumbs scattered around. Outside, people talked loudly by the rooms, and the courtyard was full of cigarette and weed smoke. There were also people who seemed to live there, and someone in a nearby room kept banging on the wall. I was concerned our car might get hit because other guests didn't seem to care. I'd look for another place for a short stay.

The bathroom was decent, and the location was handy for shops and other places nearby. Everything else was a letdown. The rooms were disgusting: the sofas were marked and smelled bad, the TV remotes were sticky, and there was other people's hair in the sheets. The place smelled like cat pee. Most of the neighbors seemed to live there, or looked like they might be doing shady business in their rooms. Anyone could come in through the door. I was glad I only stayed one night. If you're in the area, spend a little more if you can and go somewhere better.

Michael, the manager, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room impressed me too. It was spacious, clean, and laid out a lot like an apartment. I had a really nice long weekend here.
