Kyle was a warm welcome, very nice and funny, always greeting people with a smile. I used the laundry room, which was clean and had machines in good working order, though I was too tired to try the pool. My room was spotless and odor-free, and both the AC and heat worked great. The hotel itself is beautiful, with lovely decor and atmosphere, plenty of light, and a bright entrance. Breakfast had lots of good choices and was delicious, including waffles, eggs, pulled pork, chorizo sausage, and more. I’d arranged to use the airport shuttle when leaving, but wasn’t sure if I needed to remind someone, and it wasn’t ready to go at 4 a.m., so I took a Lyft instead. I didn’t notice any shops within walking distance, but DoorDash worked well for me. I had a comfortable stay and would stay here again when I’m back in the Austin area.

The staff are so friendly, especially the night desk clerk, and there’s a free breakfast in the morning. The rooms feel new and are furnished in a way that actually feels livable. Mine was spacious like a one-bedroom condo, with a fridge, hot plate, kitchen island, dishwasher, cooking utensils, pots, and even Tupperware. I could easily see staying here for a month or two. There’s laundry, an indoor pool, and a gym. Parking was $5 a day as of this writing, no typo. It’s farther from the city than some hotels, but downtown is only about a 15-20 minute drive, and it’s very close to the airport. The free pickup and drop-off shuttle makes it worth considering. If you’re here for a week, they have happy hour on Wednesday, if I’m remembering right, and there are BBQs you can use to cook steaks. This was my first stay at this Homewood Suites, but it won’t be my last. It’s a real gem, so come before everyone finds out.

The people working here were incredibly friendly and helpful, and being close to the airport was perfect for us. I loved how spotless and modern the building was, and felt really satisfied with the stay from beginning to end. Breakfast was outstanding, with delicious, high-quality food. They avoid single-use items as part of their eco-friendly approach, though disposable cups are available if you ask. We also appreciated the Tesla charging station. It was a 100/100 experience for me. I can’t wait to come back, and this is definitely going on my favorites list. Highly recommend!

The TV was a real plus since I could log straight into my streaming services, and the hotel has potential. Still, a lot of the new-hotel issues seemed unresolved. My motion-sensor AC was frustrating to deal with because I couldn’t set it manually, and it kept switching between heat and cool. The room layout didn’t work well for an extended stay. The closets were so short they couldn’t fit full-length clothes, and there was space for only about five hangers. The kitchen area was cramped, with a dresser in an odd spot that I stubbed my toe on more than once. The dining area layout felt awkward, and breakfast was stale to me, with the same small selection every day. We also came across the “happy hour,” which was confusing and unappetizing: a tub of Budweisers, a few Michelob Ultras, hard-boiled eggs, and potato soup in a crock pot. I rarely saw anyone at the front desk. Staff seemed to be in a back room at a computer rather than available to guests. Parking was inconvenient too, since the oddly shaped lot meant parking down a hill and around the side of the building. The hotel fell short for me in comfort, layout, and guest experience.

The rooms were spacious, nice, and very clean, and the staff were friendly. But the inaccurate information about the shuttle made the trip more stressful than it needed to be. We chose the hotel because its website said it had an airport shuttle. We arrived late the night before our flight, only to be told there wasn’t one running right now and they were still trying to hire someone. A family member had already driven us an hour and a half from south of San Antonio, so the next morning we had to take an Uber to the airport instead of the shuttle we were counting on. Our five-year-old was also looking forward to the pancakes the evening front desk agent had praised, but in the morning they were out of pancake mix. Another disappointment. Next time we stay by the airport, we’ll call first to confirm which amenities are available. This wasn’t the experience we expected.
