I chose this hotel for its central location and restaurant, and the place itself was clean and well cared for. The shower was great, hot and strong, with toiletries right in it. The conditioner was so creamy it left my hair really soft. Front desk staff were friendly and got me checked in quickly once the pre-Valentine’s crowd had cleared. Parking was confusing when I arrived, so I rushed across the street to the public lot and paid $28. The next day I ordered parking through ipark.org for $20. From the hotel, I could walk easily to the Aquarium At Night and restaurants, or take the FREE Charmcity bus to The Museum of Art. When I had car trouble, there was a Firestone Auto Center only 10 minutes away. I’d planned a Valentine birthday getaway, with a cocktail and dinner before heading back to my room, but there wasn’t a table available when I tried to eat around 8pm on 2/13. It was disappointing, probably because of the pre-Valentine’s crowd. Next time I’d book ahead. It’s a good value, and I’d stay again for the clean hotel, convenient location, restaurant, transit access, and capable, welcoming staff.

My second stay was wonderful. The room was much better than the one I got on my first visit, and the front desk service was professional and just right. I was looking for somewhere close to my job for my birthday this past Sunday. This is definitely becoming my favorite downtown hotel, and I’ll be back.

We spent a lot of money here, but the valet service made the stay unacceptable. When we arrived there was nowhere to park nearby, and although we planned to use valet, nobody was there. Check-in took about 10 minutes in line. By the time the valet returned, he was so backed up that our car was still double parked when we came back down later. At checkout there was no valet again. Several guests and we waited by the cold front doors for 30 minutes. The manager said she had called the valet worker 5-6 times and gotten no answer, even though checkout is when guests are leaving for flights or heading home. I’ve called Tim H, the valet company supervisor, to ask for a refund and haven’t heard back. The TV couldn’t connect to streaming services, and the regular channels kept glitching. The hotel said maintenance had already left for the day, so they couldn’t fix it. I know valet is a subcontractor, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

A block from CFG Arena, this is handy for concerts, and it’s an easy walk to the Nat’l Aquarium, Inner Harbor sights, and Little Italy. Tell Tale Restaurant has good bar snacks and a solid breakfast. The hotel and restaurant staff were warm and engaging, and clearly tried hard to make guests comfortable. Charles from Hotel Safety and his son CJ were especially kind and helpful. The rooms are somewhat dated and the elevators need maintenance, but the place was carefully cleaned and we felt comfortable and safe throughout our stay.
