Quality Inn & Suites Bedford West

A few months ago, I stayed overnight and got a room at the back that reeked of cigarettes. I asked to switch and was glad they moved me, or so I thought. I had to clean and wipe everything down myself. The towels had blood stains, as did some pillowcases, and the pillows were stained with sweat. That’s gross and unsanitary, and the bloody items should be thrown out. I told the staff that blood-stained materials could be dangerous, especially if someone has a communicable disease.

The property was clean and well kept, and the room felt comfortable. Check-in was quick and hassle-free thanks to the front desk attendant, who was polite, attentive, and gave great customer service. I had a pleasant stay.

I picked this place to avoid Bloomington’s high prices during student move-in. Good idea, wrong hotel. The room was damp and smelly, and the hallways had a dehumidifier running, but that didn’t solve the problem. I’m not especially picky, but finding a roach in the bathroom was the last straw. Had I seen a review like this before booking, I wouldn’t have reserved a room, and you probably shouldn’t either. “Management” was just a desk clerk with no authority. They said the manager would call me in the morning, but no one did.

The hotel is older and mostly clean, though some areas smelled musty. It could use general maintenance and upkeep. I was disappointed that breakfast ended at 9 on weekends, which felt early, and by 8:45 they were out of eggs and coffee.
