Courtyard by Marriott Bethesda/Chevy Chase

The location worked really well for us, close to the subway and bus line, with restaurants and shops nearby. Having parking right there was a big plus, and coffee and hot water were always available. We also appreciated the conservation effort. Our room was lovely, with a nice view, plenty of closet and drawer space, a comfortable couch, and coffee set up in its own area. It was ready early, and the bath was a good size. The fitness center was excellent. Housekeeping was friendly and did a great job. Every staff member we dealt with was warm, knowledgeable, helpful, and happy to answer questions. They went out of their way to make the stay wonderful. We've stayed at many Marriott hotels, but this one was by far the best. Thank you!

Quinton made my business stay much easier. He helped with printing and other needs so I could be ready for my meetings, and went above and beyond to accommodate me. I plan to stay here again and really appreciate the service. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone handling business or enjoying some leisure in the DC area.

At a weekday rate of $375, I expected hot water and decent towels. Instead, my shower at 5:30 am was freezing cold. I had a medical procedure at 6:30, so I couldn't wait for maintenance after the front desk said they'd send someone. My husband used the bathroom blow dryer to warm things up somewhat so I could at least try to wash with the frigid water. We were told, “we are so sorry we'll see what we can do to compensate you ....maybe?!” but that didn't solve the problem. There were other issues too. We paid extra for parking, but the validation ticket didn't work and we had to go back inside to get it sorted out. The towels were old, scratchy, and rough, like burlap. In room 705, the queen bed closest to the door is broken and slants toward the window. When my husband turned over in the night, he started sliding toward it. It was a bad experience all around. I'll be back to this area for more medical procedures near this location, but I won't stay at this hotel again.

My friend and I stayed at Marriott Bethesda Chevy Chase on October 7th and 8th, and it fell well short of what I expected from other Marriott Bon Voys I've stayed at. I was disappointed and definitely won't return. The water wasn't hot enough, and the shower door opens inward into the shower instead of out into the bathroom. That seems like a safety issue and a code violation in many areas. The room also had no notepad and pen or pencil, and no complimentary bottled water. On our first exit from the parking garage, the ticket didn't work, so I had to go inside and ask the concierge to let us out.
