The staff were pleasant and kind, and it was a convenient hotel with delicious breakfast, especially the waffles. The room was very small and parking was quite limited, but that’s New York. The sheets looked a bit off-white, which bothered me a little, lol. I’d still recommend it for a day or so in Brooklyn.

I travel often for my credit repair business, Expert Credit Sweeps, and have stayed here many times with my husband and our infant son. The staff, from housekeeping to the front desk, have always been helpful and kind. It’s close to the 36th St. subway station and just off the Belt Parkway. Unlike other hotels around here, they have parking behind the building as well as a few spaces out front. I’d recommend it.

We used this as a comfortable base for our family’s first trip to New York, and would stay again. The neighborhood is a run-down industrial area, the rough part of this little diamond in the rough, but it adds to the NY experience. The room was clean and recently updated, the staff were great with our family, and we got free parking and breakfast. The yellow line D-N-R subway is only a couple of blocks away, with an easy ride to Manhattan. We’d recommend it to other families too.

Cleanliness matters a lot to me, and several things in the room left me feeling uncomfortable. The sheets were stained twice, as was a washcloth. A cleaner changed the sheets but left the old pillowcases on, and only cleaned the water-marked part of the mirror. When I asked for the toilet and tub to be cleaned, he said they weren’t stained, assured me the bathroom was clean, and left. Later he came back and used Windex in the bathroom, which isn’t a disinfectant. He then used the same gloves he’d used to clean the bathroom to change the sheets and pillowcases. Disgusting. The front desk staff were pleasant and did respond when I reported the bathroom, but they said the cleaner would return and he didn’t come back until later in the day. The room looked clean at first, but these problems made me wonder how carefully they handled food preparation and storage too. The breakfast was decent, though don’t expect a Marriott-style buffet or room service. There are lots of mostly Chinese and Latin restaurants one avenue away on 4th Avenue, and a delicious Turkish restaurant on 24th St. The rooms are incredibly small, so I wouldn’t recommend staying more than a day or two at most. Front desk customer service was generally very good: the staff were pleasant, welcoming, answered questions, and tried to make us comfortable. But they should be kinder to people they might not recognize as guests. My beau was outside taking an important call when a staff member interrupted him with “How can I help you?” in a way that felt like “we don’t know you, please get off our property.” I’m sure he was spoken to that way because they didn’t recognize him, since they’d been kind on other occasions. Treating everyone as a potential guest, or getting to know guests better, would improve the service and earn an extra star from me. Windex to clean a bathroom...really? I have to dislike this hotel. A hotel should at least feel comfortable, and I feel horrible in an unclean place.

I’d never stay here again or recommend it. The parking is very limited, with just a few spots offered first come, first served. Management was rude and couldn’t handle basic service requests without an attitude. The sheets and towels had questionable stains. When I asked for fresh sheets, the manager told me to come down to the lobby and get them so I could change them myself. I asked to move rooms because there was no staff scheduled to change them for me, but the second room was just as dirty. I ended up changing the sheets myself and slept without a blanket or comforter because they’d been sitting on the stained sheets and felt unsanitary. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The rooms seem clean until you inspect the bedding.
