Residence Inn Bismarck North

The front desk service was fantastic, and the room layout worked really well. Still, maintenance and cleanliness were poor. There was a mildew smell from the moment I arrived that lasted the whole stay, so I bought an air freshener to cover it. The bathroom sink wouldn't drain and the shampoo bottle was broken. Both TVs were outdated and each showed a different room number, neither of them mine. The couch was very dirty, the lamps and carpet were stained, and the walls and doors were badly scuffed and dirty.

The staff made us feel welcome while we were celebrating our birthdays, and the room was spacious. Shout out to Manager Jake! He's doing a great job.

They had an opening for us during a winter storm, and the staff were friendly. The room was clean and nice, the bed was really comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our family and dog. Full-size pool towels were awesome too!

At $243 a night, I expected more. The room was a letdown: two dining chairs were falling apart and looked ready for the landfill, the end tables were all scuffed, and the TVs were dated. The whole place seemed worn out and like it hadn't had much attention for a while. Some simple updates and maintenance could make it much better, but right now it doesn't meet what I'd expect from a Residence Inn at that price. Disappointing, and not worth what we paid.
