What made the stay unbearable wasn't just the room, it was how hard it was to get help and how unsafe the property felt. The whole experience was far worse than anything I expected or paid for, and I wouldn't want anyone else to spend their money here. Before booking, I'd read the reviews and thought people were exaggerating about the place feeling shady and unsafe. They weren't. It looked half abandoned when we arrived, and I initially thought we had the wrong place because the photos here don't match what it really looks like. Many windows were boarded up, there was graffiti everywhere, and the area seemed like a high-crime neighborhood. The outside and surrounding area weren't lit. I wouldn't let my girlfriend walk to the car alone, even though it was parked right outside our room. Before bed she asked me five times to check both the room door and sliding glass door to be sure they were locked and couldn't be forced open. We arrived with a reservation and were first given a first-floor room by the pool. It was clean and cool, but the fresh paint smell was so strong it gave both of us migraines and made us feel sick and lightheaded. After a five-hour drive we were hungry, so we went to dinner and called the service desk to ask for a room change. The woman on the phone, who I presume was one of the owners, was rude the whole time. She lectured me that the request was inconvenient, said the room smelled fine when she checked it, and called our reason stupid. She wouldn't hold another room while our luggage was still in the first one, saying she could give it to somebody else. Even after I explained again that the paint smell made the room uninhabitable, she said another guest might not mind it. After a lot of back and forth, she reluctantly agreed to move us. The upstairs room we got was extremely dirty and uncomfortably hot. The AC didn't work, the phone was broken and had to be replaced, and trash from previous guests was scattered across the floor. After all the arguing just to change rooms, I gave up on asking for anything else. This was probably my worst experience of paying for something completely different from what I got. Calling the room, customer service, treatment, and whole stay completely unacceptable and horrible almost feels too mild. I know this is an insanely long review, but if it persuades someone to stay somewhere else, it's worth writing. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere. You'll be glad you did.

Although the staff were nice, this place is a complete dump, more like a homeless hotel. I went by someone's blind recommendation and only looked at the Google pictures. Should've read the reviews. My mistake.
