The Walnut Street Inn

It's a great little inn, and we'd definitely stay again. The location is handy for walking to food, shopping, and campus. Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with thoughtful little touches from the owners. Keyless entry made our late-night check-in easy. Parking was a bit confusing, though we did arrive late, so maybe that was just me. There's no elevator, so keep in mind you'll need to carry luggage up a flight of stairs.

The inn is in a phenomenal spot, with great views of the square. Check-in and check-out were easy, and we never saw an employee. The inn and rooms unlock with the last four digits of your phone number. Everything was very clean. The beds were a little firm, and the road noise was pretty loud, but I'd still stay here again.

My husband and I stayed in the beautiful maple room, and the new owners were so personable. They wanted to make our visit special, and they did. We hosted a small get-together in the communal kitchen and bar area, which was a lot of fun. It's right on the square and was a little noisy, but I didn't mind; earplugs were provided. Can't wait to come back.

The couple running Walnut Street Inn were kind, accommodating, and clearly worked hard. Our gorgeous room was spotless, and we had access to everything we needed. The location is hard to beat, right on the square and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops. Street noise below didn't bother me, but earplugs are available. Highly recommend. If you stay here, you won't want to stay anywhere else in Bloomington.
