The front desk person was very nice, but the room itself felt dingy. The door was very dirty, the phone was filthy, and the room was at the back of the building, which was dark and a little creepy. I did ask for a smoking room, so I understand they may put smokers farther from nonsmoking guests. I travel with my own soap, luckily. The supplied bar was a tiny sliver, and looked like leftover soap that had been remilled and repackaged. The bathtub wasn’t very clean, so I washed it before showering. For the price, I wasn’t expecting the Hilton, but I did expect a bit more cleanliness and a larger bar of soap.

I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. The place felt run-down and unsafe. Bugs were in the sink, the lobby ceiling tiles were partly missing, stained, and leaking, and the lock had been ripped off the wall. It also didn’t feel COVID-safe. I didn’t see any masks. During check-in, guests and staff friends walked into the lobby without masks, and staff did nothing to enforce mask wearing. The front desk worker wore her mask only some of the time, taking it off repeatedly. She was coughing a lot and told me it was “just bronchitis.”

The one bright spot was the front desk woman, who was really nice. The hotel itself was trash and made no effort to make the stay worthwhile. Our fridge didn’t work, and they wouldn’t replace it, so we lost food and had warm drinks. Housekeeping only took the trash out. The sheets and blankets were dirty, and they had no spare pillows for us. There were too many people living there full time. One room had people going in and out all night, ten people in one night by my count. The lobby was disgusting, which matched the rooms. Breakfast was old bread, Fruit Loops, and gas station mini doughnuts. We aren’t picky and only needed a place to sleep, but this was about as pathetic as it gets.

They accepted dogs, and the bathroom was almost completely clean. The rest of the hotel has really gone downhill. The carpet was absolutely filthy and stained, and there were splatters on the walls in every room. The wall AC was so loud I could barely sleep. I’m sure it used to be a lovely hotel, but it’s tired and worn out now. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The only bright part was the attendant, who was extremely nice, apologetic, and helpful. It wasn’t her fault. Our first room was a mess: a Pizza Hut box on the microwave, an unmade bed, bedding on a chair, a dirty shower, and stained carpet. My husband and I reported it, and she immediately moved us. The second room was supposedly clean by their standards, but it still wasn’t really clean. The bed was comfortable, but one bed had cigarette-burned sheets even though it was a nonsmoking room, and we could smell smoke as if it were coming into our room. There was no comforter, just a fleece blanket over a sheet. The headboards weren’t attached to the wall or bed. The shower had mold in the tile and by the shower head, and didn’t work at all. My husband tried to shower early in the morning, but no water came out. It was a last-minute stay because it was late, we had a big day, and nearly every place in Branson was booked. Even so, this was the worst hotel room and establishment I’ve stayed in. Management, housekeeping, upkeep, and standards were all a zero. Our smoke detector was just exposed wires with no detector. I’d strongly recommend passing this place by at any price.
