Emerald Inn Blythe

The place felt sketchy, and judging by the photos, ours was probably one of the better rooms. At least we didn't find bed bugs.

The staff were nice, but the room was gross. Paint was missing in several spots, and the rug and furniture had stains. One of the pillows smelled bad too.

That pool? Empty and full of junk. There was no lounge, breakfast, or ice maker either. Our room was filthy, old, and raggedy, after a very rude and abrupt check-in at the window. We were asleep in there at 101° at midnight when the air shut off. The place deserves -10 stars, if I could give that. RUN, RUN, RUN. You can't get away fast enough. There was a woman there too, and she was very nice.

The rooms were clean and nice, but the manager's attitude ruined the stay. He wants to control what guests do and told us, "when you get a room with us you have to stay in the room until it's time to check out." There were hardly any other guests. My dad was paying $380 a week plus for an extra room for us. He got mad that we went between my sister's room and my dad's, and when my brother's anxiety made him want to walk around the parking lot, away from the rooms and cars, the guy got mad and wouldn't even give us directions to the hospital. After we returned from the hospital, he refused to rent us another night, claiming we'd "walked around all night." That wasn't true. We did one lap of the parking lot, then I took my brother to the hospital. The man is rude in general and profiles people by how they look. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. He should be fired, or at least humble down.
