I was here for one night before surgery, in a room my lawyer had booked. I travel a lot for work and usually find nicer three-star-plus hotels for a good deal. This was okay for a two-star motel, with a nice area and a decent, somewhat clean room, but the bed was uncomfortable. The price felt far too high to me. Motels at this level should be $50-$75 a night, not over $100. Highway robbery. I was traveling alone as a woman and didn't feel unsafe. It's near the freeway, and the walls are thin. My room faced the pool, which may have been a quieter choice. Parking was full and hard to find. I didn't use the pool because of the storm, though it looked nice. I was glad to only stay one night. I prefer to be comfortable.

The outside of the property is well kept, and our room was quiet at night since it faced away from the highway. Staff were friendly, and there was plenty of free parking. McDonald's and Starbucks are within walking distance. Our room, at least, wasn't clean, and most of it looked outdated.

Check-in was quick, and the attendant was friendly and helpful. The area is quiet, with no sirens, and the place felt safe. I saw what seemed to be security guards walking around the lot at night. The lobby and common areas looked well cared for, though there could be more litter picked up. In the room, there was a fridge and enough towels, pillows, tissues, and toilet paper for two. I didn't see bugs, and the room seemed clean except for a dark splatter on the wall, like old BBQ sauce. The shower had shampoo and body soap dispensers. There were some problems. The sink was cracked, and there was no hand soap, just a tiny bottle of shampoo by the sink that was hard to open. The fridge didn't seem cold at first, but it froze our items even though we hadn't put them in the freezer. The lot needs to be redone and expanded: the parking spaces are painted so small that even a compact car barely fits, and many cars were double parked. We arrived late at night and struggled to find a large enough spot for our compact car. A loud squeak from the neighboring room's door woke us several times, since our neighbors were up late and got up early. “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

Check-in was simple, and the employee was nice enough. But when we entered the room, there was a strong smell that my partner thought might be mold. There were a few random wall stains, though the room otherwise seemed fine. When I woke up, I found a cockroach head in our bed. It hadn't been there when we went to sleep. I was disgusted, to put it mildly, and told the front desk attendant when checking out. There were also a couple of people who appeared to be on drugs sleeping in a car in the parking lot when we arrived. The location didn't feel good, and I left very uncomfortable. I hadn't expected much given the price, but this was still unsettling.

For what it costs per night, this was incredible value, with beautiful scenery and a convenient location. The room was in great shape, not like some places where you get what you pay for with dirty rooms or old, semi-clean towels. I especially appreciated that the refrigerator was already on and properly cold when I arrived. Regina and Ben were friendly and helpful. I spilled a little fruit punch on the nightstand and told Ben at the front desk. He was very kind and thanked me for letting him know. I'll definitely be back soon.
