Spark by Hilton California Lexington Park

Even the gym, pool and bathroom area were immaculately clean, and Shay was so kind and helpful when we arrived and at checkout. I was rushing out with all my things, and she graciously took my room key and said I was all set. I'd definitely stay again for Shay's customer service alone. We had a large group in town for a service. The night before we arrived, I called to ask about early check-in for one room because one of us had fallen ill and would really appreciate getting in early. They took my name and number and promised to do their best. Around 12pm the next day I called again, and Shay said she was doing her very best and would call as soon as a room was ready. Within 30-45min she called to say two rooms were ready for us to choose from.

Genine recognized me as a Hilton Rewards member at check-in, which I appreciated, and everyone I met on staff was consistently warm and welcoming. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with everything a traveler needs for a smooth stay. Great stay at Spark by Hilton. I'd definitely come back.

The rooms were nice and the hotel was clean, but neither my sink nor shower had hot water. When I mentioned it at the desk, they just said, 'Oh yeah, that's been happening lately.' You should be able to get a hot shower at any hotel.

I was here for work for 3 weeks, and the experience was a swing and a miss. Out of all the times I requested room service, they took out the trash twice and made the bed twice, but never changed the sheets. Breakfast wasn't really breakfast, just bagels, and there's a ridiculous rule against food delivery. The pool had been closed for several months. The room's refrigerator is probably the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place unless the other option is a tent.
