Super 8 by Wyndham Calvert City Kentucky Lake Area

The front desk clerk was incredibly helpful and told us what dining options were available nearby. Our room was exceptionally clean and felt like a steal for what we paid. It made a fun trip even better, and I'd happily stay here again.

The breakfast had more than just toast and cereal. There were biscuits and gravy, waffles, and a woman making scrambled eggs and omelets to order. The room and the rest of the place were very clean, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. I'd seen an earlier post about the lobby and hall smelling, but we didn't notice any smell at all. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Even with the hotel busy because of a fishing tournament, it was pleasantly quiet, and I was surprised there were still vacancies. The room was very clean and well maintained. There was no carpet, just hardwood-looking floors, which I liked because I didn't have to wonder about old carpet stains. The friendly staff were busy but still welcoming, and the room rate was very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it as a layover spot.

A nicer Super 8, and really about 4 1/2 stars. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms quiet. Breakfast was an expanded hot spread, with waffles, very good biscuits and gravy, and omelets made to order. No elevator, and our room had no shampoo, though they did have some at the front desk. The night clerk was very friendly.
