The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and everything worked. Breakfast was perfectly acceptable, better than what I usually get at places that include it. Friendly, professional staff made this a very good value.

Every room being on the ground floor was a nice touch, and the beds were great to sleep in. The rooms are a little dated, but clean. Breakfast each morning had plenty to choose from, including eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, burritos, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, and coffee. They also offer free bottled water in the lobby. Great staff and service. I’d come back.

We had several places nearby to choose from for meals, and the location was handy without being right next to the highway. There’s a playground, patio swings around the property, and a small fenced dog area where our dog could be off leash. I really appreciated that the place welcomes pets. We were on a four-day cross-country trip, and this was the most comfortable hotel bed we had. I slept so well I nearly missed my alarm.

The check-in staff were genuinely kind and friendly, and I appreciated how dog-friendly the place is. We also liked having a dog park. But the room condition and cleanliness were nowhere near what I expect for almost $100 a night. Someone else’s used soap was still on the shower shelf, there was hair in the tub, and one towel that was supposed to be clean had dark brown stains. The carpet was torn, the wood had rotting cracks you could see through, dust was caked everywhere, the TV had a huge line across the screen, and the windows were chipped as if something had hit them from inside. I could overlook some of the window damage, but I’ve stayed in $60 motels that were cleaner and better looked after. Housekeeping smoked outside the rooms while cleaning, so our room smelled strongly of cigarettes every day, which made my asthma and other health conditions worse. I don’t expect anything fancy, just basic sanitation and a room kept clean. The staff were so nice, but for that price I didn’t expect the property to be in this shape.
