Quality Inn & Suites North

A complete letdown. The place felt like a nightmare, more like a “Lack of Quality Inn.” Even the door lock was scraped up, and the privacy sign had a dead cockroach smashed onto it. The carpet and shower mat were filthy. There was no advertised breakfast, and no phone that worked. When I reported the phone, the desk worker just said, “sorry, I only work the desk.” The room also had no trash can, chair, fridge, microwave, remote, tissues, trolley, or proper pillows. The coffee maker had no coffee packets, and the smoke detector was detached from the ceiling and sitting on the dresser. The key cards didn’t work either, so staff had to let us in each time. A nearby Econo Lodge was much better and cheaper. This place should be sued.

I hope the young woman at the front desk and the other young woman, who I think was a manager, find jobs where they’re valued. They went above and beyond, and the front desk worker tried so hard to find cups, bowls, and plates. Most of the staff seemed to have little customer service, and employees are treated badly. People are allowed to call them names and tell them they have no say. Maybe three staff members truly showed customer service.

The bathtub in room #307 had no nozzles, just toilet paper stuffed into the holes. I went straight to the desk and was told my card wouldn’t be charged, but a week later I still can’t get through to Choice customer service. I suppose I’ll take this to social media. This grease pit should be condemned, and the manager fired for lying. I’ll contact the attorney general in Springfield about dishonest practices in Missouri, near Branson.

I only stayed because my child was in the hospital, and I didn’t want to lose the money I’d paid. The room was dirty, with things on the floor and blood on the sheets. There was no Wi-Fi or cable, no hot breakfast, and we had to change the sheets ourselves. We also had no towels or toilet paper. I brought this up, but never got towels; the trash can was black and filthy, with no liner. When I asked for my money back, they refused. The person at the desk said he’d told me before check-in that I couldn’t get a refund, but he never said that to me. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
