Homestead Inn

My boyfriend has been staying here for two months for a construction job, and I visited him this past weekend. Housekeeping only comes in to take out the garbage. The room was filthy, with mold in and around the bathtub and bathroom faucet. The small fridge barely works and is rusting away at the bottom. I wouldn't recommend this place. It's dirty.

I have a trained, registered service dog, but they refused to let me stay. I believe I should call the cops on this place. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), hotels generally must allow service animals in public areas and make reasonable policy changes, such as waiving pet rules or fees. A hotel may exclude an animal if it is not housebroken, out of control, or poses a direct threat to others' health and safety, and even then should give the person the option of staying without it. A hotel cannot legally deny someone because they have a service animal.

Good value for a night, a weekend, or even a week. The front desk manager was nice, and the room had a good-sized TV, A/C, a refrigerator, and a microwave. Great inexpensive hotel.

The rooms are clean, the staff are nice, and everything you might need is nearby. My issue is the morning payment routine. The rules say to pay between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., but if you haven't paid, they'll knock and call your room, then keep interrupting when you try to explain. We agreed on a plan, but the next day they seemed to lose patience with it. The banks were closed for Memorial Day, and we were told we could go cash our check after waking up. Then they called to say we'd promised to pay by 9 a.m., which wasn't true. My man didn't get back until 2 or 3 in the morning, too. They need to be more patient and let customers finish speaking. Set an alarm and pay early.
