The Queen Victoria B&B

Breakfast was tasty, and the afternoon tea was a nice extra, though some of it wasn’t really to my taste. The historic buildings have a lot of charm, and the place was very clean. Staff were generally kind and helpful, and it’s easy to walk to the beach and shops. Our third-floor room did have noticeably slanted floors, which could feel a bit disorienting. There were also some small upkeep problems: gaps around the doors let in light, sounds, and smells, and the bathroom door was hard to shut. The TV was tiny and could only be watched from the bed, not the couch. We’d still recommend staying here.

We came back to the Queen Vic for New Year’s Eve after being away for a while, having stayed here for more than 25 years. The PAHall felt just as we remembered: warm, cozy, and easy to relax in. My wife started feeling under the weather, so we settled into our beautiful room. She rested while I opened a bottle of wine and enjoyed the quiet. The staff welcomed us warmly. It’s a clean, comfortable way to experience historic Cape May, and a lovely start to the new year. Thank you!

We spent plenty of time relaxing on the broad porches, with swings and rocking chairs, and the whole place had an easygoing feel. The room was comfortable and cool, and the staff were friendly, attentive, helpful, and easy to reach. Everything is close by, including the beach. Breakfast was a treat: the spinach cheddar frittata was the best I’ve had, with toast and amazing homemade strawberry jam, plus scones with honey butter. Thanks so much!

Breakfast runs from 8 to 10 each morning, and the Queen Victoria B&B also serves afternoon tea and snacks in its British-themed buildings. We come every year in mid June, and love how it sits in Cape May’s historic district, in beautiful Cape May, New Jersey. The beach is a block away, with free towels and chairs available. Washington street mall is about a five-minute walk, and you can spend the day sightseeing or looking at the Victorian gingerbread houses. It’s a charming B&B, and I’d recommend it any time of year.
