Budget Inn

Roger and Varoon were very nice, but Roger's wife was rude to me for no reason, even after we'd been there a few weeks. My boyfriend and I had come here after leaving the community cares shelter, but we decided to move to another hotel. We found one that was much nicer, had a bigger room, and cost $30 less per week.

I like it here. Each room has its own little porch, and I appreciate having a broom and mop available. The place is cute, with an old, homey feeling. I'm not hard to please, but this is a budget inn, so it's for people who just need the basics, not materialistic or high-maintenance guests. That's what you get, and I'm happy with it.

I've stayed at plenty of inexpensive motels while traveling, but this was the worst room I've ever seen. It smelled awful, the floor was torn up and badly worn, and there was blood on the sheets. The room was filthy, and the door wouldn't close properly, with no lock at all, no chain or button lock. The proprietor was nice and kindly refunded my money. The broken front stairs to the office should have warned me how nasty and run-down the place was.

The rooms are well priced, especially if you've broken down on the roadside, and you can stay long term if needed. The people sitting out on the office porch are friendly. If WiFi, a TV, and a clean bed are enough for you, I'd stay again. Let the staff know about any problems, and they'll take care of them when you're out of the room. Food is within walking distance. The smoking rooms aren't smoky, though little things like fresh paint may be needed.
