Econo Lodge Carlisle Central

There were bugs crawling on the bathroom floor and no hot water for a shower. The heat was off when we arrived, and it was 19° outside, so it took all night for the room to get warm. The guy at the front desk was rude, and when we checked out he was on his phone and ignored us.

We found the rates very reasonable for the dates we were there. Other hotels with lower ratings were charging two or three times as much per night, and this room was good for the price. The food at Royal Kitchen across the street was really good, too.

The location was convenient, the room was clean, and the breakfast area was nice. Staff were very nice and courteous. Can't ask for more. Thank you, Econo lodge.

I only needed a bed for a few hours overnight before work, and the price was fair. The sheets were clean, and the bed was fine. The fridge, microwave, countertops, sink, and tub were clean and working. The brief interaction I had with the front desk staff was good; they were friendly. I didn't try the free breakfast, but I was able to get coffee in the main lobby on my way out. I stayed in building A, outside the main building, and housekeeping could've done better. The wood floor hadn't been swept, with a few pistachio shells on it. There were more shells and a stain on the back of the bathroom door, and I found a bag of hamburger buns in a drawer. The coffee maker needed wiping or replacing. The ironing board was missing, and the iron had no cover to keep water in it. I wear scrubs, luckily, and the water dries fast. The setup meant I didn't close the bathroom door until morning. I don't completely knock the place, but they need to get the basics and cleanliness right.
