Masters Inn Columbia I-26

Roaches can about run you out of the room. I bring RAID when I stay because I don't take chances. I've been here a few times, and after I asked the black lady about the rate, I checked other rates online and she got upset. Later, the housekeeper accused me of cursing them out, which I have no knowledge of doing. I'd even received my receipt without any complaints or issues, so I don't know what she has against me. Don't bother coming when she's there.

For the price and location, this is a case of getting what you pay for. One thing to check is the AC filter for cleanliness. Don't break it if you don't know how to remove it. I've seen some really unpleasant things in filters in certain rooms.

We checked in late, when bed bugs and roaches are usually wide awake, but didn't see any. That's not to say there weren't any, since we passed out almost as soon as we got to the room. For a motel, the room costs a lot, though that's true of all the motels around here. It was clean and spacious, and just right for pulling over to sleep when we'd planned to drive through.

The curtains in our first room were full of bedbugs, so they moved us to another room upstairs. I did look all over that room, but we won't stay there again in Columbia, SC.
