La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cedar City

The elevator was a big problem during our stay: the other one had apparently been breaking repeatedly, and now both were out while we were on the fourth floor. Ugh. The maintenance person at the front desk said there was nothing they could do, but kindly offered to help carry our bags down the stairs. That level of service was outstanding. The team is doing a great job. The breakfast really impressed me. The food was good, and the area stayed immaculate, with everything refilled and tables wiped constantly. There wasn’t even a little waffle batter spilled, since an employee would clean it right after a guest finished. Dustin and Alicia were courteous, kept busy the whole time, and checked whether we needed anything. Dustin said he starts at four in the morning. I told them how impressed I was to see people with such a strong work ethic. The price was very reasonable, and I definitely recommend this hotel. Our room was large, comfortable, and very clean, the beds were great, and we heard no noise at night.

I stayed on 1/25/26 intending to book two nights, but I was unsure what the experience would be like. I’m glad I only stayed one night. For a relatively new hotel, the rooms and facilities were quite subpar, with signs of mold and torn-up walls inside the rooms. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I’d consider staying here if the price matched Comfort Inn or Hampton Inn. For my second night, I chose Best Western Plus at the same price as La Quinta, and it was much nicer even though it was older.

The room was roomy, clean, modern, and comfortable, and the front desk staff were efficient. There’s a pool, and the hotel is conveniently close to the highway. Breakfast is described as continental, but they also serve some additional hot items, which was nice. I really enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was good, and the front desk clerks were very nice and friendly. Still, I probably wouldn’t come back. This hotel seems very pet-friendly, which is great if you have pets, but it can be an issue if you don’t. Someone left their dog in the room all day, and it barked constantly. I called the front desk, but they couldn’t reach the owner and couldn’t do much. The lobby and elevator smelled really bad. A dog had peed in the elevator, and its owner left it there without cleaning up.
