Tiffany and Darrel helped make my best friend’s birthday stay feel special. I’d bought a sign for the room but couldn’t hang it myself, so they put it up along with some balloons while we were out. Check-in was easy, and they let me arrive early. The hotel is beautiful, chic, and very clean. Service has been amazing, and we’re enjoying our stay. Thank you, thank you!

The whole hotel had an unpleasant smell, and the air conditioner in our room gave off a strong moldy odor whenever it started. The hallway carpets were dirty, with sticky patches on the floor. In the room, the toilet had urine on the seat and floor, and the sheets and comforter were stained and clearly hadn’t been changed. We didn’t feel comfortable using the bathroom or sleeping in the bed. I’ve attached photos because the condition speaks for itself. The staff weren’t rude, but they also weren’t friendly or apologetic. They showed no concern or accountability and didn’t seem bothered that we’d been put in those conditions. This went beyond a small housekeeping problem. Basic sanitation is the least a hotel should provide, and this property fell far short. Our stay at SpringHill Suites Riverview Charleston was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t stay again.

Getting to the hospital was easy, which mattered since we were there for a patient. The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was fantastic, especially the unlimited bacon. The hotel has been nicely refurnished, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the shower pressure was just right. We’d be glad to stay here again.

The location and service were great, but I found out the hard way that the hotel has bed bugs. I’d never dealt with them before and hadn’t thought to check the bed. Now I know to look at the sheets for round, rust-colored stains that could mean bed bugs. The bites may not show up right away like ant or spider bites. Mine started appearing on my flight home on the last day, in a line. Now you know 😭

Downtown Charleston was just a quick ride away, which made getting around convenient. We were trying not to spend too much on the visit, and this turned out to be a wonderful option. The staff greeted us warmly with welcome bags, and everyone was incredibly friendly. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping was thorough and attentive. The free breakfast was my favorite perk. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful stay!
