We loved the included rental bikes, and both breakfast and the afternoon snack and wine hour were wonderful. The location was fantastic, too. Our room was small, but we chose that option and the price reflected it, so we were happy with it. The bed sagged a little in the middle, my only complaint. The air conditioning worked well, the room was very clean, and Lynn and the Staff were friendly and ready to answer questions. On-site parking is included; it’s a tight squeeze, but manageable and worth it for free parking. I’d recommend staying here.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and I slept especially well with the white noise generator in our room. The breakfast was tasty, and the rooms were really nice. There could be better access to plugs for charging devices, though the age of the place makes that understandable. Parking is nice, but with a larger car or SUV, expect a seven-point turn to get around. It’s well worth the money, and I’ll be back next time I’m in Charleston.

The girl working here was very sweet and told me about the light festival. The house is beautiful, the deck is nice, and it’s within walking distance of lots of places. Our bed was comfortable, which you don’t always get at a B&B. Still, a few things let the stay down. There was no soap in the room until we asked, and the bedspread had a big damp-looking stain that we didn’t touch. The ice machine was broken, though there was an ice bucket; bottled water in the room would’ve been nice. Breakfast was good, but a small microwave to warm pastries would help. The biggest issue was the tip envelope on the mantle when nobody came to our room: the bed wasn’t made and there was no mint on the pillow, so we left the tip there. Even cheap hotels make the bed. I think I read it’s under new management, and they need to step it up. Places we’ve stayed before put out an evening plate of treats, but here they didn’t even leave out the fruit bowl. I highly recommend Coast seafood bar & Grill.

The pastries at breakfast were delicious, and the staff were friendly. It’s a quaint little bed-and-breakfast style inn, and I enjoyed my stay, though there were a few annoyances. Parking is limited, and cars can block the entrance. The second-floor rooms don’t get as much from the AC, and the Wi-Fi signal in my room wasn’t adequate.

We were very disappointed and will never stay here again. The customer service was awful, and it felt like a bait-and-switch. We had booked the suite for four, but were moved into two tiny rooms with the bathroom outside the room. One room was practically the size of a closet, with a tiny bed that squeaked at the slightest movement. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. When we arrived at 4 pm Friday, no staff were there and the front door was locked; luckily, another guest let us in. Breakfast was supposed to run from 8-10, but when we went down at 8:50 there were only three yogurts, a few questionable pieces of fruit, and a couple of croissants. Our party took the yogurts and croissants. When I asked a staff member for a muffin, she said she was only allowed to put out a set number of each item. A woman who came down after us couldn’t get yogurt or pastries either; she was told they were all gone. They lie!
