The Riverstone Hotel Charleston-Sikeston

Fine for a quick stop to sleep, but I think the price should be lower. The bed was comfortable and the in-room refrigerator was cold, though the shower hadn't been cleaned. We only had one hand towel and one face towel. Breakfast amounted to orange juice and little half-size yogurts, with no coffee available. Someone in the parking lot kept honking around 6am. The stay was okay, just overpriced.

Rooms are spacious, clean, and old-fashioned, with a microwave and TV. The A/C worked well and wasn't too loud. Breakfast runs 6am to 9am daily, but it's basic: yogurt, butter, oatmeal, two cereal options, apples, orange juice, coffee, and a waffle machine. No bread, bagels, or pastries. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The front desk was okay, though not especially welcoming. If you're arriving late at night, bring food along, since there isn't a 24-hour restaurant nearby that delivers. They do have truck and trailer parking for a 53', with easy access in and out. 🚛👍🏻

After a terrible previous hotel where we couldn't stay, it was a relief to find this clean, good-value place. The front desk was very accommodating too.

We came with family last weekend and counted six towels in the room: two hand towels, two medium ones, and two large ones. Now they're claiming we took three and kept my deposit. Take pictures of the towel count before you stay and again when you leave, so you can show you haven't taken anything. The refrigerator didn't work either. And the price wasn't what they told us: it was 116.52, plus a deposit.
