Rodeway Inn smelled like mildew and drugs. I’m glad I took my two kids and left, since it didn’t feel kid-friendly or like a place for families. There was no pool or breakfast, and no appreciation for customers. A Choice Hotel down the street cost $81, with the pool closed for the season but a free hot breakfast and exceptionally polite service. At this desk, I showed the man my Priceline reservation on my phone, which was still being finalized at $61.38. He just threw his hands up and insisted, “you want room you pay $85.” I’d already referred to the $55 room rate plus tax, but he kept saying rooms were $85 including tax, plus a refundable $25 deposit. Then he waved the man behind me up and checked him out instead. He deleted the Priceline offer as if I should ignore it.

Sam at the front desk is awesome, very good and polite. Whenever I come here, he accommodates me really well. They offer continental breakfast and provide service every day. Best hotel on the south side, and I definitely recommend staying here.

Sam Redoy, the Supervisor/GM, brings real value to the Rodeway Inn brand through excellent management and customer service. I appreciate that, and I’ll stay here whenever I’m in Charlotte. The hotel is excellent, with great housekeeping and a very safe, quiet atmosphere. The best among the Choice Hotels brands in Charlotte. Thank you, Sam Redoy and the management. Five stars, yes indeed!

I had made two reservations for this stay, and Mr Sam reddy helped sort it out. He was efficient and kind, explained everything clearly, and gave me a second room key. Excellent work!

Mr Sam Reddy was a polite, humble person, and checking in was simple and easy. The hotel is very good, completely renovated, and an affordable place to stay.
