Hampton Inn Charlottesville

The staff were friendly, and my room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The area felt safe. Hilton should give them a bigger budget for breakfast ingredients. They do the best they can, but the waffle batter tastes like cardboard.

There are shopping malls, fun restaurants, Costco, whole foods matket, and Trade's Joe nearby, which makes it handy to put together meals to your own taste. The hotel itself felt compact and cozy. Staff treated guests kindly, and breakfast was just right with ingredients that seemed fresh. I'd be willing to come back next time.

There was plenty of parking all around the hotel, and the pool is there, though closed until spring. Check-in was easy, and the employee was friendly and professional. My room was clean and comfortable when I arrived, the shower worked great, and breakfast for guests was available in the morning.

Breakfast was delightful, Elaine was amiable, the fridge was too cold, the rooms were comfy, and the location was perfect. We had a wonderful time after arriving for a UVA football game. Corey at the desk welcomed me and was easy to talk with. The Honors Party Bag was individually packed by me, and my request for a later departure was granted. I had no problems with the clerk or hotel. The man behind me at check-in seemed to have complaints, and I offered him my place in line, but he declined. One suggestion: all the hardworking maids should smile when they make eye contact with guests. Some do, and some don't.
