Airport Inn Chattanooga

Six days after staying here, the bites on my legs were still acting up. Over-the-counter cortisone hasn’t helped, so I’m going to the hospital after work tomorrow. I checked the bed while I was there, but now the cluster of itchy bites looks like bed bugs, and I’m worried about bringing them home. The staff were very unprofessional at check-in, and the room was awful: the deadbolt didn’t work and things barely functioned. I understand it’s a two-star place, but that doesn’t excuse it. They wouldn’t refund us even when we refused to stay at check-in. I can’t imagine anyone who actually stayed here giving it five stars. Don’t stay here.

The staff were friendly and really helpful. The room itself was another story: there was mold, the TV and AC barely worked, and the toilet paper holder fell off the wall the first time I reached for the roll. We also saw roaches, and I hope none came home with us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, unless they’re bringing a bulldozer.

We both smelled marijuana, just like several reviews I’d read. We booked two rooms because a friend is traveling with us, and hers is worse than ours, even though we’re in a double and she’s in a single. Our walls look freshly painted and the carpet seems fairly new, though it’s dirty in one of the rooms. There’s a coffee pot in ours, but not hers. No free breakfast, and the indoor pool is closed for the season. It’s okay, could be a lot worse.

We checked in to friendly staff and clean rooms, and at first I had no complaints. There was a strong weed smell, but you do run into that in hotels sometimes. The problem started at 1:10 a.m., when at least 50 teenagers began running and yelling in the hall. That part wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but after ten minutes of noise that sounded more like a frat house, I called the desk for help. Nothing changed. By 2 a.m. we’d decided the hotel down the road was a better option. I don’t have an issue with the hotel itself or the staff, but this was one of my worst hotel stays.
