There’s a musty smell in the rooms, and the hotel is run down. I booked through a third party, and when I arrived they charged the room rate plus a $50 deposit. That seemed odd since the reservation was prepaid and I’d expected only the deposit to go on my card. At checkout I asked for a receipt showing the charge had been refunded. The clerk struggled for a minute, then printed something. A couple of days later, the room charge moved from pending to permanent. I tried calling several times without an answer, then eventually got someone and explained what happened. She told me to contact the third party because the hotel couldn’t do anything, even though the fault was on their end. Then she hung up and wouldn’t answer again.

The rooms are spacious, with a living room and kitchen, which is the redeeming feature. There’s a lot of potential here, but it isn’t being realized. My son and I were on a road trip to New Orleans and picked this place for one night because it was in the city and had a pool and hot tub. The pool was freezing, far too cold to enjoy, and the hot tub was broken. The hotel was very dirty, and the floors looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks.

There’s EV charging available, though it’s a bit expensive for a level 2 charger. The hotel is within a mile of a lot of restaurants and even closer to Nightfall. I really liked the room layout: it was spacious, with a decent sized kitchen and living room. It would work great for an extended stay.

We’ve made this our Chattanooga stop every year for the last 3-4 years, but after the stay on Dec 21, 2025, I don’t think we’ll be back. The place used to be great. Since management changed, the quality has dropped, especially when it comes to cleanliness. We checked in around 10:30pm on Sunday. The sofa bed in our first room looked like a crime scene, and the front desk clerk let us try two more rooms. The second was even worse. Two of the three sofa beds had big stains and smelled of urine and fecal matter. There were kids’ clothes, tissue, and a wristband left in them too. It didn’t look like housekeeping had checked the foldout beds at all. The third room was clean and acceptable, but this was completely unacceptable. The photos show exactly what we found.
