Residence Inn Chattanooga Downtown

Jordan and Theo at the front desk were very nice, and the breakfast was decent, though nothing special. They’re the reason this is a two-star review rather than one. The rooms, however, were very dirty. We were moved to a nicer room that smelled like mold, while the hallway smelled of marijuana. We asked to go back to our original room. It smelled less bad, but still didn’t seem clean. There were red mildew lines in most bathroom crevices and mold in the shower. The pullout sofa had odd stains, and the extra sheets had big clumps of hair. With kids, it would be stressful keeping them off the dirty surfaces. I wouldn’t recommend this Residence Inn. Spring Hill Suites is very close, and the walk from downtown isn’t far. It seems worth it for the cleaner, newer rooms.

I came from Georgia on a whim for my birthday and felt so welcome. Ms Jordan checked me in, made me feel special, and explained the amenities. She also pointed out good places around the hotel, all within walking distance. I enjoyed the breakfast included with my stay before checking out. I’d definitely recommend this hotel if you want to be downtown.

The room could use a little maintenance, but it was comfortable and the location was awesome. We were on the street side and could hear people outside at night, though we still slept mostly well. The staff made things easy with five-star service. They were incredibly polite and helpful, and breakfast was enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised to find some gluten-free choices.

I stayed here for well over 30 days for work, and I plan to come back whenever I’m in town again. My room was nice, the climate control was great, and I had no complaints about this downtown location. It’s near lots of restaurants, and staying here gets you discounts at places nearby. I worked night shifts and slept during the day, and housekeeping never bothered me. Chastity and Jorden at the front desk were great, as were the two women who run breakfast, whose names I don’t know. The desk staff made fresh coffee for me every day before I went to work in the evening. Ten out of ten.
