I called less than ten minutes ago to ask whether the deposit was under a certain amount, and the guy was really rude. He had a strong accent and got upset when I couldn't understand him. I'd rather pay the extra deposit at another hotel than waste money here. There's a reason there's no deposit...

It's 2 a.m. and I can't fall asleep. The room reeks of mildew and mold, the walls are dirty, and the floors are disgusting. I was traveling for work and booked online, and I didn't expect much at that rate, but I'm human and deserve a clean place to rest. Hotels.com helped me check out early and get a refund, and I'm very grateful. Don't stop here unless you don't care about yourself.

The truck stop right next door means constant noise from trucks parking and leaving. The place doesn't feel welcoming, and the service was lackluster. Staff spoke little English, and when I reported the toilet problem, an older woman looked at me as if I was too stupid to use one. An older man just looked uncomfortable when I acknowledged him. They seem aware of the building issues but don't address them. There are plenty of problems in the room too. The toilet was hard to flush, the tub knob made the shower difficult to operate, and the bed was almost rock hard. Broken staples where the carpet meets the tile have sharp points you can feel if you step in the wrong place. The room door is visibly broken on the side, a safety hazard, and hard to open and close. It seems maintenance hasn't been done in a while.

The a/c worked well, the beds were good, and the shower was hot. The price was low, $60.00 plus tax, so don't expect much. I like trying mom-and-pop motels and supporting small businesses, but this was an old, run-down place that needs a serious upgrade. There was mold by the tub, the bathroom door was coming apart, and the entry door needed work. It had no security chain and the lock was hard to use. The room wasn't clean either: dirt on the shower curtain, something shattered on the wall by the trash can, and a floor that needed a good cleaning.
