Sleep Inn & Suites Chesapeake - Portsmouth

The room was mostly clean, but the beds weren’t very comfortable. There’s no hot breakfast, just a waffle maker, apples, yogurt, cereal, and muffins. The security doors are never locked, so anyone can get in or out, including into the pool area. Be very careful if you have children. If you do stay, go across the street to Sakura sushi and grill. It’s top notch, and the staff are amazing. Not the best hotel, but not the worst.

The bed was comfortable enough, and the room will do the job, though it could use a remodel. I tried to settle in but found hair on several pillows. Also, a frantic person at the front desk called asking when I’d check in because he wanted to sell my room. I’d booked early since I knew I’d be flying in late, and I’ve never had a hotel call me like that before.

I’ve stayed here every time I’m in town, and this visit was nice and quiet. The cleaning wasn’t as thorough as usual, though. The light kept flickering, so I had to move the bed away from the plug, and behind it was very nasty, with an old baby bottle full of spoiled milk and other stuff.

The room was clean and quiet, and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. I had the jucuzzi room, and it was amazing. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
