The location was handy, next to Walmart, a laundromat, and other places, and the stay wasn’t too bad at first. But I came back to my room one day to find the toilet scrubber sitting on the sink. Odd. Then, at breakfast, I found what looked like a cockroach in the omelette I was eating. I asked a staff member at the front desk what was on my plate, and she said oatmeal. The kitchen staff member told me the same thing. I could see the legs of a bug, a roach, and couldn’t understand how they called it oatmeal. I asked for management to be contacted and sent an email with pictures. The day manager said it was the food distributor’s fault, gave me 5000 points in my Marriott account, and seemed dismissive. 5000 points doesn’t even cover one night. We might have found another way to resolve it, but she wasn’t receptive. Her email did apologize for the inconvenience, but I wouldn’t consider 5000 points worth eating a roach.

I got incredibly sick during my stay. There’s a serious mold problem, and you can smell it throughout the first floor. They should shut the hotel until the proper remediation is done.

The first room was extremely loud. There were bugs in the bathroom, half-used drinks left by someone else in the refrigerator, and people using the ice machine at 4 AM to fill bowls for the breakfast area. I was moved to another room, but its curtain was shredded with a person-sized hole, and the couch cushions had several dark stains. The toilet seat was attached by only one bolt and had to be held in place to use. On Tuesday I told them about the problems and agreed they could fix them while I was in the room. By Saturday, when I checked out, nothing had changed.

The rooms and hotel were dirty, and we found bedbugs in both beds in our room. We later heard that bedbugs had been found on another floor too. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, though they did give me a refund.
