Fleetwood Motel

A quiet, affordable place that works for a short stay or a longer one. It's family owned, easy to reach from I-80, and dog friendly, with plenty of space for pets and cookouts or other leisure activities. The amenities cover basic snack needs, and the customer service took care of our daily needs. It's a retro motor inn, and RVs can stay here too.

The bill came to $608.50, including a $100 deposit at check-in. They charge $100 a night, or $450 a week as the bargain rate, and I don't think the rooms are worth that. My room was in better shape when I left than when I arrived, but I still haven't received my credit. I thought there had been renovations, though I don't think we got one of those rooms. These are summer rates!

The woman who checked us in was very sweet, but the room was nasty. The window coverings didn't close, so people walking by could look right in. The carpet was so filthy I wouldn't take my shoes off. I put my dog's blanket on the bed, covered the floor with towels, and used my own pillows. We were traveling with service animals and needed an outside door for them. The ad made this look like a nice family motel and showed a pool. There is a pool, but it's been filled with grass and dirt. I should've paid attention when I saw folding chairs on the sidewalk outside each room. I feel like I'm on 5th street Belleglade. I've been traveling for 48 hours without a break, or I'd have left.

I've lived here for over a year. It's a nice family owned motel, though the water does get turned off once in a while. If people would just park between the lines! I'd definitely come back if I needed to.
