La Quinta Inn & Suites Clarksville

My reservation was canceled just 15 minutes before check-in because the owner doesn’t accept locals. I’d never heard of that rule before, and it wasn’t mentioned on Expedia or the hotel website. They told me it’s a private owner and those are his rules. They didn’t seem to care that I was already in the parking lot or what this did to my plans. I was out $180 for 3-5 days and still had to scramble to find a room for the night. I’m sure the hotel might have been lovely.

We stayed here on the way north and then came back nine days later while heading home. The rooms are roomy and clean, with comfortable beds and a good breakfast selection. It’s dog friendly, and there are lots of restaurants right there. The highway makes it a little noisy, but I use a white noise machine anyway. Josh at the desk looked after us on both stays. He’s a nice guy.

The breakfast team were wonderful and the food was great. From the moment we came through the door, the front desk service was outstanding, too. I wish I’d gotten everyone’s names, but I’m sure the company can find them from our stay dates. We’ve been to plenty of beach hotels in Florida, some of them several times, and still haven’t had service like this. Thanks to all of you for making our stay so pleasant, probably the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. Please let the staff know how happy we were. We’ll be back soon! Robin F.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was good. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked as a dog-friendly hotel, since those rooms are often a mess. It cost a little more than I’d prefer, but I’d stay here again.
