Quality Inn Clarksville - Exit 11

We were passing through on our way to Illinois and only stopped briefly. The staff were pleasant, and the room was clean. The bed and pillows smelled fresh and were clean too. Breakfast was adequate, though the coffee was like tar.

The late checkout request was a mess. When we asked the next morning, the man said we should have requested it the day before, even though the day before he’d told us to wait until morning. Check-in wasn’t much better: they first tried to put us in the wrong room and blamed Priceline for overbooking before eventually giving us the room we’d booked. The room itself had scratched furniture, chipped paint all over the bathroom door, and the heat smelled like a dog had been living there. I work in hospitality, and this place makes the whole industry look bad. I’d never stay here again. Don’t waste your money.

We got in late after a long drive that took an unexpected turn, and being able to use the pool, hot tub, and whirlpool until 11 pm helped us unwind. The bedding was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was a huge buffet. For a budget inn, it was a spectacular experience. The floors aren’t carpeted, which seems easier to keep clean and bug free.

Breakfast was another problem: there was a tiny roach in the fridge where the milk and other cold items were kept, and orange juice wasn’t available until I complained. The woman who refilled it had a poor attitude. I want my money back. Never go to this hotel. Earlier, our heater started burning when we turned it on, so we shut it off immediately and told the front desk. They moved us, but cleaned up the first room and offered it to another guest. In the next room we found a roach in the bathroom. I also reported that the elevator wasn’t working properly and its doors weren’t closing right. Reception didn’t seem concerned and kept letting people use it. It took until the second shift came in for them to shut it down, so we couldn’t use the elevator to get to the second floor.
