West Winds Motel & Cottages

We'd already started checking dates for our next visit before we even left. The place was so peaceful, with gorgeous views and beautifully kept grounds. Everything was clean, and the service was great. It's an awesome spot to bring friends or family, have your boat, and enjoy the water. The owners do a fantastic job. Can't wait to return!

A great last-minute getaway for me and my boyfriend. The cottage was clean and stocked like a house, and we could walk down to the water. We only stayed one night, but had a great time. We'll be back to try the pool!

Those sunrises and sunsets are something we won't forget. We were worn out from fishing each day, so we didn't get to try the many amenities on site, but our cottage was perfect for getting some rest. It was super clean and just what we expected. The whole property was well maintained, and you can tell the owners take real pride in it. My best friend and I found West Winds Motel & Cottages while looking for a fishing trip stay. It had what we wanted, including separate rooms, a full kitchen, and boat storage and charging options. Jolene was quick and thorough in the first communications. Check in was easy, and Jolene and Dean H showed us around when we arrived. We can't wait to come back next year. We've found our place, and it's the West Winds.

Our first room at West Winds Motel and Cottages was so comfortable that we never moved into a cottage, even when one opened up the next day. There were no cottages available when we arrived, so we booked a motel style room instead. It was very clean, with a comfortable queen bed. Queen was the only bed size offered. The bathroom was a bit small and had just a shower, but that worked for us. It was immaculate, and we got clean towels every day. Dean was friendly and took great care of the grounds. He clearly takes pride in the business and treated us like family. He lit a fire each evening for guests and even blew off the sidewalks to keep them clean. He also gave his wife credit for the thoughtful little touches around the property and in the rooms. There was a handy 24 hour coffee room with Keurig coffee, creamer cups, ice, and even a wine opener. Each room and cottage had an outdoor picnic table, and the in ground pool was very clean. From the entrance, we could see the beautiful St. Lawrence River. We have lovely memories and photos from our stay while visiting Thousand Islands in Clayton.
