Breakfast was supposed to begin at 7 on Saturday, but when I got there at 7:01, it had already been cleared away. With an event filling the hotel every year, they could have planned for the rush or at least let guests know service would end early. I was here on a business trip for the weekend and have usually had decent stays, so this was a letdown. My first night also meant changing rooms around 2 a.m. because the climate control in my original room wouldn't respond. I was told the interior rooms share settings in a stack, so guests in three other rooms have to agree on the same setting. They said it was left over from previous ownership, though the system looked fairly new. In the room I moved to, there was old soap left in the shower. Housekeeping seemed to just make the bed, but that part didn't bother me much.

The standout part of my stay was the help I got from Gunner Patterson at the front desk. Once I was home, I thought I'd left some belongings behind and called. Gunner did everything he could to look for them and reassure me, more help than I've ever received before. As it turned out, a friend found the things in our rental vehicle. I was in town for the 2026 Clemson IISE Regional Conference and had a good stay. The service was the best I've experienced, and I'd be glad to stay again when I'm back in Clemson.

Even with 23 nights spread across about seven rooms over 45 days, I really can't complain. Anything that came up was handled quickly. Every room had a great shower and very comfortable beds, and we made use of breakfast each day and the gym. The parking lot felt safe when I came and went alone late at night. My family was here this fall during an extremely hard time, with a very sick relative I needed to be near. The staff treated us kindly and with compassion while we checked out on weekends and returned during the week. Thank you, Best Western Clemson, for taking care of us. This place will always mean a lot to us.

There's a great restaurant in the building, and breakfast at the hotel was very good. The place was spotless and the staff were excellent. Of all the Best Westerns we've stayed in, this was easily the nicest.

It's a great spot for game day, but I won't come back. At check-in last night, two women at the desk were extremely rude. One was named Ayana, so if you can, check in with someone else. Other people noticed and stepped in to help, but I didn't get an apology until the next day.
