Cotton House, Cleveland, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Right in downtown Cleveland, the Cotton House is close to shops and restaurants. It has clean, stylish rooms that are really comfortable, plus a rooftop bar, restaurant, fitness center, and relaxed lounge spaces. It feels like a luxury stay in the Delta. We had an incredible experience and highly recommend it whenever you’re in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Really good stay, and I’d definitely recommend it. The surroundings were pleasant, the rooms were large, the shower was great, the bed was good, and the WiFi was super fast. There were a couple of small things, like only one trash bin and a small kitchenette sink, but neither caused a problem.

Holiday decorations and smiling faces were there to greet me as soon as I walked in. I had dinner at the rooftop bar/restaurant with live music, and breakfast was amazing too. Everyone was professional and friendly, from the front desk and maintenance to both restaurants. A must if you’re in the area. Ciao.

The room had plenty of problems: hair on the bed, stains on the chairs, scraped and worn furniture and doors, and hardly any toilet paper left on the roll. I showed the General Manager photos. He said he’d give me points for the room issues, but after at least seven calls to the hotel, nothing has happened. I wanted to sort this out with the hotel directly, but the agreed resolution still hasn’t happened. The billing was also a mess. My company had sent a check, and I confirmed before arriving that the hotel had it and the tax exempt form. After checkout, I noticed on my bank statement weeks later that they had charged my credit card too. If I hadn’t checked, they would have kept the $703.05 payment without telling me or returning it. It took several calls and emails to get the credit card charge removed. It’s now been almost two months since I asked for the $273.05 overpayment to be returned to my workplace. I work for a municipality, and the funds need to be accounted for monthly, so this delay is unacceptable. I shouldn’t have to spend my busy day repeatedly chasing a refund for an overpayment. In hospitality, needing to call more than twice to complain points to mismanagement. I don’t recommend this hotel.
