Brentwood Inn Clinton

Craig and Beverly were especially helpful, and the room was clean. Aside from the bathroom issue, I was happy with my stay and felt it was good value for the money. Breakfast was good, though the selection was very small. I booked a wheelchair accessible room through Hotwire. Based on past bad experiences, I called on arrival day to make sure I was actually getting one. Nobody answered the first time. On my second call, I struggled to communicate because of a language barrier, but the person confirmed my reservation. When I arrived, I liked the accommodations except for the bathroom. It wasn't wheelchair accessible, had no roll-in shower, and the bench intended to help with the tub was too short to be useful. I had to take a sponge bath in the morning, despite trying hard beforehand to confirm the room would meet my needs. That's the only reason I didn't give five stars.

The room was really nice, clean, and smelled lovely. For what you pay, the place is absolutely stunning. When we needed help, Manager Zar was so polite and well mannered, and his support meant a lot to us. Thank you so much.

It isn't a perfect place, but it's safe and secure, and gives you a quiet, comfortable place to sleep while traveling. Eric and Roxanne seem to have very good intentions and sometimes go above and beyond. Things can spiral out of control sometimes, but I don't think that's their fault. I wrote an earlier review about Brentwood, and honestly, I'm coming back to give you guys five stars. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're out traveling.

The first floor room wasn't too bad, with newer solid flooring instead of carpet and a decent chair and table. The beds were just OK. My room upstairs was a different story: cigarette butts in the toilet, no shower curtain or table, dirty carpet, another hole in the bathroom door, and a flimsy plastic and metal chair. No bedbugs, at least. The photo of the breakfast bar was taken at 7:15 am. We had two rooms, and mine was on the second floor. The poor woman at check-in looked overworked and frazzled, with little help. There was no Wi-Fi or breakfast, and the elevator didn't work. Cigarette butts were on the stairs and outside landing. Both rooms had a hole in the bathroom door, about two inches across in the first floor room. Maybe they're renovating. I sure hope so for their sake.
