Clinton Motor Inn

I paid for a night in a friend’s room and found it expensive for what it was, especially compared with places like Motel 6. The quality was lower, and the building looked run down. There were a lot of people around the parking lot and balconies who looked unsavory. The staff, though, were polite and helpful.

Last year I stayed one night and had bed bugs crawling onto me while I was lying in bed. I was in the first room on the left, upstairs, right above the office. After that, I’m definitely not coming back or recommending it.

I got in late and was firmly told not to smoke in the room. I had to tell them five times that I don’t smoke. When I opened the door, it reeked of cat pee, and after pulling back the top blanket, I saw bed bugs on the sheet. Then I tried to leave and found the handle broken off, so I had to climb out through the window. I demanded my money back and yelled at the owner about what had happened. He refunded me without saying anything.

The shower pressure was great, which I was grateful for. Otherwise, the bathroom wall had holes and the floor looked bad, and the decor was ugly. I was also VERY upset that there weren’t any Chinese buffets nearby.
