Breakfast was a highlight, fresh and plentiful, and the staff serving it clearly take pride in their work. The location also makes it easy to get to local shops and take scenic drives around the Palouse. My stay at the Wheatland Best Western was smooth from check-in through checkout. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, with the kind of small-town hospitality you don't find often. The room was spotless, quiet, and comfortable after a long day. The bed was great, the linens were fresh, and the amenities and property were well maintained. I'd gladly stay again and recommend it for business, college events, or a stop while passing through.

The sign by the front door says no smoking. I had just pulled into the lot and was walking toward the entrance, before even checking in, when the front desk woman came out yelling at me not to smoke there. I hadn't smoked. I've stayed here a couple of times with my work crew, and when we arrive around 8 or 9 PM, the girl at the desk isn't very pleasant or welcoming. One of our guys had traveled 16 hours, then at 11 at night the desk called his room to tell him to be quiet, even though he was the only one in there. She guessed which room the noise was coming from instead of going up to check.

They had cookies and coffee out late in the evening, and the made-to-order omelets at breakfast were great. Our room was very nice, and the pool and jacuzzi were good too. Definitely a nicer place to stay, well above most places.

The room was comfortable and clean. The check-in experience at 9 PM was another story, the person helping us was unfriendly and acted like we were an inconvenience.

Krissy at the front desk was kind and helpful, and the service was excellent. Our room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was amazing.
