The shuttle to the train station came in handy, and there’s a 7/11 right across the street. Staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean with toiletries replenished promptly. The indoor pool does leave the whole building smelling of chlorine, though the rooms are generally fine.

The biggest concern was what happened overnight. Both nights, around 4am, men ran up and down the outside stairs and the halls. The walls are so thin we heard everything they said and did, and it happened like clockwork. After the first night, we found another guest's car with its rear window smashed. We can't help wondering if the 4am activity was connected to the break-in. I’d want some kind of night security patrol here, especially since the place has an indoor pool, putt putt and shuffle board and could be a great hotel if it felt safer and more updated. Our two-night stay was okay otherwise. The room was about what we expected for the price, and customer service was good, no complaints there. I just wish the continental breakfast had healthier choices instead of mainly pastries, waffles and donuts. Nothing else about the hotel itself really bothered us.

Breakfast was included and had a good selection. The rooms were fine, though the hotel could use some renovation. There’s an indoor pool in an enclosed courtyard area by the lobby, and the chlorine smell spreads through that space.

The kids had a blast in the pool and playing the games, and the staff was nice. Our rooms were clean, too. We took the shuttle to the metro into DC. I wouldn't recommend driving to the museums since parking is very limited, though you could probably take the car to see the monuments. We had a great time here with the family.
