Ramada by Wyndham College Station

The best sleep I’ve had away from home. The place was cozy and clean, with a warm breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, plus waffles you make yourself. It’s a great location, far enough from the College Station bustle but close to plenty of good places to eat.

We tried this Ramada for the first time recently and had a pretty good stay. The location worked perfectly for us, and everything was very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a pool, business center with free printing and scanning, a meeting room, another pool, and a fitness center. I’d suggest a remodel because the color scheme felt a little depressing to me, but that’s just personal taste.

The room smelled unpleasant, and the noisy air conditioning made it hard to sleep comfortably. At check-in, the receptionist wasn’t friendly or welcoming. Later, when my daughter and her friends asked the front desk for napkins or tissues, the staff member reacted with an unpleasant expression and made the children uncomfortable. Ramada is a familiar brand, but this property didn’t meet the standard I expected.

The room was beautiful and clean, and I got one with a spa tub, which was nice. The whole hotel smelled fresh, and the bed was soft. Good hotel.
