The St Mary's Inn, Bed and Breakfast

We spent six nights in the Magnolia room and really enjoyed it. It was spacious and comfortable, with two separate areas for sitting and relaxing. From the third floor we could see the mountains in the distance. The owners were lovely and made us feel cared for, even arranging early breakfasts on several days when we had morning activities. The location is terrific, just minutes from good food, shopping, parks, and more. We’d happily return if we come back to Colorado Springs.

The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented, and the location put us close to the many attractions. St. Mary’s Inn is a real treat, with lovely bedrooms, cozy beds, excellent bedding, and spacious bathrooms. The whole beautiful inn is filled with gorgeous period pieces, and the hosts gave us five star treatment.

Pam and Jay made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They knew so much about us and clearly care about getting to know their guests. Their place is beautiful, open, airy, and cozy, with thoughtful decor. Spending time in our room felt like relaxing at home. Breakfast was a delight, and the table was set so nicely. I’m gluten free, and they made me a special gluten free French toast that was the best I’ve ever had. Our teenagers weren’t sure what to make of staying at a B&B, but now they want to try more places like this. Such a unique gem, we highly recommend it.

I’ve stayed at plenty of B&Bs, and St. Mary's Inn ranks highly for me. My husband and I spent five nights in the Cherrywood room. Pam, Jay, Luke, and the staff were welcoming, and the old Victorian home was spotless. Our room had air conditioning, which we needed in the summer heat, and the white noise helped mask the occasional street sound you’d expect in a city center. We slept well. We drove and used the free parking on site, though downtown and restaurants are walkable. The other sights are an easy drive for day trips. Chef Jay serves gourmet family style breakfasts with a lovely presentation. Pam, a retired school teacher, is a lively host. Coffee, tea, and little treats are always available. It’s fun to talk with the other guests or just listen in. To me, a B&B offers a much richer stay than a chain hotel, and it’s worth the extra cost.
